Are you a creative, trend-aware individual who knows how to build attention and drive engagement on social media?
We’re looking for a Social Media Manager to lead content and digital presence for GoodFlea - a curated flea market experience in New York City. This role is focused on creating compelling content, growing our audience, and driving both vendor sign-ups and market attendance.
The position requires strong creativity, consistency, and a clear understanding of what performs on platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute social media content across Instagram and TikTok
Create and post engaging content (Reels, TikToks, Stories, carousels)
Capture and edit content on-site during market days
Develop content that drives vendor acquisition and customer attendance
Stay on top of trends and adapt them to the GoodFlea brand
Write captions that are engaging, clear, and conversion-focused
Respond to DMs, comments, and inquiries in a timely manner
Collaborate with vendors, creators, and influencers for content opportunities
Track performance (views, engagement, conversions) and optimize content accordingly
Qualifications
Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok content
Experience creating and editing short-form video content
Ability to identify trends and execute quickly
Good eye for aesthetics, branding, and storytelling
Strong communication and writing skills
Experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing preferred
Ideal Candidate

Organized and consistent with posting
Comfortable being on-site and capturing content in real time
Interested in fashion, culture, markets, or creative spaces
