Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Content Specialist to develop, manage, and optimize engaging content across multiple social media platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital storytelling, understands current social media trends, and can create content that increases brand awareness, audience engagement, and online community growth. This role requires strong communication skills, creativity, and the ability to analyze content performance to improve social media strategies.
Duties
• Develop and maintain social media accounts, including managing customer reviews and testimonials.
• Create, schedule, and publish engaging content for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X (Twitter), and YouTube.
• Develop content calendars aligned with marketing campaigns and brand goals.
• Write compelling captions, social posts and short-form content tailored to each platform.
• Coordinate with design, marketing and video teams to produce high-quality visual and multimedia content.
• Monitor social media trends, hashtags, competitor activity, and emerging platforms.
• Engage with followers, respond to comments/messages, and help build online communities.
• Track and analyze social media metrics such as reach, engagement, conversions, and follower growth.
• Prepare performance reports and provide recommendations for content optimization.
• Maintain consistent brand voice, tone and visual identity across all channels.
• Support influencer collaborations, paid campaigns, and promotional initiatives when needed.
Qualifications
• Secondary school education / College diploma in business Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or basic video editing tools is an asset.
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of senior care and personal support services
• Photography or short-form video creation experience.
• Understanding of SEO, hashtags, and social media algorithms.
• Experience running paid social media campaigns.
• Basic graphic design and content editing abilities.
