SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) Production Engineering Specialist Job

Seeking an experienced Full-time SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) Production Engineering Specialist.

• Analyze production data by navigating SAP and EDI, identifying areas for improvement.
• Utilize WMS (Warehouse Management System) to oversee material inventory management, ensuring that production lines are supplied with the necessary raw materials and components.
• Configure sheet molding compound press line by adjusting temperature, pressure, speed, and time, and ensuring ongoing maintenance and optimal machine performance.
• Identify and resolve any issues in the production line, whether it's related to equipment, materials, or personnel, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth operation.
• Ensure products meet the required quality standards through inspections, conducting tests, and working with the quality control team to address any defects.
• Create and maintain detailed records of production data, performance metrics, and any improvements or issues that arise, ensuring compliance with internal and external audits.
• Review and interpret production plans for the production lines.
• Contribute to production plans and schedule manufacturing operations, ensuring that production targets are met on time while maintaining cost-efficiency.

Bachelor’s degree in Mold Design Engineering preferred, or closely related field AND 1 year of SMC production experience
