Job Duties
Lead the design and implementation of Smart Home systems, including smart security systems, lighting, cameras, energy-saving solutions, and multimedia systems. Develop IoT solutions for connected home systems, ensuring seamless integration across devices such as smart sensors, irrigation systems, garage doors, and security systems. Design and implement low-power Wi-Fi and Bluetooth network systems to support efficient smart home environments. Administer and maintain Linux systems and servers for smart home infrastructure, ensuring reliability and security. Design and implement mobile and Windows-based apps for controlling and monitoring smart home systems, ensuring user-friendly interfaces. Implement smart home mesh network systems to improve connectivity and performance of home automation devices. Ensure design compliance with all regulatory, safety, and project requirements, adhering to industry best practices. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring smart home system installations remain on schedule and within scope. Research and implement the latest technologies in smart home systems and IoT, staying ahead of trends and industry innovations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to smart devices, network connections, or software applications in homes. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized smart home solutions. Perform quality checks and testing of installed systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality. Use of IoT system development, Low Power Wifi/Bluetooth network system design, Linux system, linux servers, system admin, Smart system App development/Integration (Mobile/Windows), Systems Engineering processes including development of program plans, schedules and requirements, smart cameras and sensors and Python programming. This role involves daily travel within the Dallas Fort Worth area with 70-80% work at construction sites, with the remaining 20-30% of work performed remotely.

Minimum requirements
Education: Must possess master’s degree in System Engineering or related field.
Experience: 18 months’ experience in the position offered or a related position.
