Job Summary:
The Site Foreman/Woman will oversee and coordinate daily construction activities on-site. The role involves supervising workers and construction projects, coordinating schedules and activities with project supervisors and managers, ensuring health and safety regulations are followed, resolving work-related problems, providing technical advice, reading blueprints and drawings, requisitioning materials and supplies, preparing reports, and training workers. The position requires strong organizational, communication, leadership, problem-solving, judgment, and interpersonal skills.
Job Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant construction experience
- Construction industry experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coordinate and supervise workers and projects
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Fully on-site; no remote work option
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Resolve work-related problems and provide technical advice.
- Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Prepare production and other operational reports.
- Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing activities.
- Coordinate and schedule construction activities.
- Coordinate work activities with other project supervisors and managers.
- Ensure all workers and projects comply with health and safety regulations.
- Establish methods and procedures to meet project work schedules.
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Requisition construction materials and supplies.
- Supervise workers and construction projects.
- Train workers or arrange for appropriate training.
- Monitor work progress and help ensure projects are completed according to schedule and quality standards.
- Maintain effective communication with workers, supervisors, managers, and other project stakeholders
