Shop Technician 2nd Shift Job

Job Summary: As a Shop Service Technician, you’ll work with assigned customers in performing diagnostics, assessments, maintenance, and repairs of industrial equipment in the shop with the intention of providing the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Technician Responsibilities:
Diagnose & repair lift trucks and other identified products
Strong background with electronics, AGV equipment and Drexel trucks
Communicate with the customer and provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
Perform only those repairs clearly and specifically requested by the owner of the lift truck or product.
Thoroughly document and assess the condition of the product related to other repairs that are not part of the repair or quote
Accurately account for all paid labor hours
Accurately account for all parts used
Submit complete documentation for all work in a timely manner, as required by management
Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tools, van and customer facility while working there
Maintain company tools in working order and return them to the shop after use
Adhere to all Company Policies and Work Rules.
Make repairs accurately and timely with minimum required call-backs or re-work
Keep manager advised of job progress, delays, changes, status, etc.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Technician Requirements:
Journeyman or apprentice may apply for this position.
A technical background is required.
Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, fuel systems, charging systems is a plus.
This technician will be required to be trained and capable of working on the AGV equipment at this location.
Must have own tools.
Must have communication skills and be able to complete accurate paperwork.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of a service technician.
Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Regular and punctual attendance is required.
Present a professional image in personal appearance, dress and preparation.
Working Conditions: Hours will be 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Some overtime may be required. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
