Duties & Responsibilities
• Supervise, plan, assign, and review the work of clerks engaged in shipping, receiving, storing and distribution.
• Supervise and train shipping clerks and other team members in the shipping department.
• Conduct performance reviews of supervised workers as needed.
• Resolve problems and complaints, implement corrective measures and process improvements.
• Schedule and coordinate with carriers to ensure the timely delivery of products.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documents
• Track inventory and monitor stock levels of finished products.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure the availability of products for shipment.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery, arranging for maintenance and repair work as needed.
• Train workers in job duties and requisition supplies and materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
Employment requirements
• Completion of secondary school is required but having post-secondary education in business, supply chain, production or manufacturing management and related is an asset.
• 1 or more years of experience is required
