We specialize in distributing special steel products and operate in three core segments: special steel imports, warehousing and wholesale, intermediary trade for iron ore, and scrap metal recycling and wholesale. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Control Clerk to join our logistics team.
Position Overview:
The Shipping Control Clerk is responsible for coordinating the movement of materials and products in and out of our warehouse, ensuring accurate documentation, timely processing, and maintaining a high level of customer service. This position plays a key role in supporting the efficiency of our distribution and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare bills of lading, customs documents, invoices, and other shipping documents
• Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or using a computer, and pack goods to be shipped
• Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other delivery vehicles
• Inspect incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages, and reject damaged goods
• Maintain internal records of shipments, part numbers, and inventory levels
• Route goods to appropriate storage areas or departments
• Communicate with warehouse staff, carriers, and customers regarding shipping schedules and delays
• Use computerized inventory and record-keeping systems to track shipments and inventory movement
• Ensure adherence to shipping and receiving policies and procedures

• Completion of secondary school is required
• No prior work experience is necessary – on-the-job training will be provided
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn logistics software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
