Davey Plastics was primarily focused on custom plastic fabrication then we have expanded our practice to include wood and metal. In 2009, we brought in a CNC router, plasma, and oscillating knife to allow even more creativity and accuracy to our projects. Over the past two decades, Davey Plastics Inc. has created thousands of customized products for customers all across Canada and the USA.
We are currently seeking a shipping and receiving clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for our incoming and outgoing shipments.

Job duties:
• Inspect and verify incoming shipments of plastics, metals, and custom-fabricated products against invoices or purchase orders.
• Record shortages, reject damaged goods, report issues, and enter received goods into the inventory management system, allocating them to appropriate storage areas.
• Ensure accurate updates to inventory records for all incoming and outgoing shipments, accurately tracking material flow during the shipping and receiving process.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments of customized plastic, metal, and wood products, ensuring accuracy, proper handling, and customer specifications.
• Schedule transportation and coordinate with courier companies for timely delivery of custom orders. Prepare bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping documents as required.
• Perform order picking and fulfillment tasks according to customer specifications for custom-fabricated goods.
• Safely load and unload products, including large plastic sheets or CNC-cut materials, using forklifts or other equipment.
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safely stores sensitive materials like plastics, acrylic, ABS, etc.

Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• At least 1 year of experience working as a shipping and receiving clerk or a similar role
• Knowledge of safe operating practices is required
• Knowledge of warehouse management system is an asset
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
