Job Description:
A premier, modern Private Practice in the Boston area is seeking an experienced Senior Veterinarian to lead clinical operations at our state-of-the-art animal hospital. $160,000 - $180,000 / year + lucrative bonus incentives (profit sharing, stock options).
Responsibilities
- Clinical Excellence: Diagnose, treat, and perform surgical/medical interventions for companion animals (primarily dogs and cats).
- Leadership & Team Growth: Assist in building, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing veterinary team to support the facility's upcoming expansion to a 7-day schedule.
- Hospital Management: Partner closely with the Regional Operations Manager and Hospital Manager to maintain superior patient care and operational standards.
- Specialized Care: Perform dental procedures, administer core vaccinations, and provide comprehensive wellness counseling to pet owners.
- Collaboration: Maintain active communication within our veterinary ecosystem and coordinate effectively with referring veterinarians.
- Professional Development: Stay at the forefront of veterinary medicine by participating in continuing education and advanced training seminars.
Requirements
- Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Experience: 5+ years of continuous, proven veterinarian experience working in a veterinary hospital setup.
- Licensure: Fully eligible to obtain a Massachusetts State Veterinary License.
- Skills: Strong time-management skills, ability to prioritize under pressure, and a desire to foster a positive, enjoyable workplace for staff, clients, and patients.
