Senior US Tax Manager Job

About this Job:
The position is primarily hybrid based in Montreal, with an expectation to be in the office 2 days per week.

We are also open to considering fully remote candidates located anywhere in Canada. Responsibilities:
Explain complex US tax concepts to both external and internal clients
Collaborate with other tax professionals to develop tax strategies that minimize global tax burdens for businesses and individuals with US ties
Create practical, business-oriented solutions for client tax issues
Conduct research on US tax matters affecting clients
Implement tax strategies by preparing analyses, memoranda, and filings
Provide litigation support, including representation before the IRS and state tax authorities
Deliver high-quality, timely, and responsive service to clients
Communicate changes in US tax laws and apply new tax knowledge to ongoing projects
Assist with the preparation of US federal and state tax returns for businesses and individuals
Contribute to the development and execution of the firm's business strategy

Skills - Must Have:
Minimum 2 years of post CPA - US Tax experience
Minimum 5 years of US tax experience in Public practice
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent law degree
US CPA designation or Canadian CPA designation
Experience in consulting within a public accounting or law firm
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French
Proficiency with US tax preparation software
