Position Title: Senior Systems Engineer
Location: 3401 Olympus Blvd., Suite 500, Coppell, TX 75019
Position Responsibilities: Deploy, configure, and manage Rancher clusters for container orchestration and management. Collaborate with development teams to design and implement scalable and reliable containerized environments. Monitor and optimize Rancher clusters for performance, availability, and security. Troubleshoot and resolve Rancher-related issues. Administer and optimize NetApp storage systems, including SAN and NAS. Provision and manage storage resources, ensuring high availability and data integrity. Monitor storage performance, capacity utilization, and plan for future requirements. Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for NetApp storage. Design, implement, and manage backup and recovery solutions for critical systems and data. Ensure backup integrity, perform regular backups, and test restoration procedures. Monitor backup jobs and troubleshoot issues to ensure data recoverability. Evaluate and recommend improvements to backup strategies and technologies. Conduct capacity planning assessments to determine resource utilization and future requirements. Analyze system performance metrics and make recommendations for resource optimization. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure scalability and efficient resource allocation. Optimize cost management strategies for the datacenter infrastructure. Monitor and analyze resource usage and costs, identifying opportunities for optimization. Implement cost control measures, such as rightsizing resources and utilizing reserved instances. Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to optimize budget allocation. Manage and operate various Azure services, ensuring their proper configuration and performance. Deploy and manage Azure virtual machines, networks, storage, and other infrastructure components. Implement security and compliance measures for Azure resources. Collaborate with development teams to leverage Azure services effectively.
Position Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, or a related field, PLUS one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: Microsoft Azure; Microsoft 365; Microsoft Intune; Active Directory; VMware vSphere/ESXI; NetApp Ontap, Terraform; PowerShell; Rancher; Kubernetes; Veeam, and; Site24x7.
