POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Database Developer to support the Financial Advisor (FA) Registration Team. You will focus on building and optimizing platforms that manage advisor registration data, compliance controls, field reporting, and the modernization of legacy mainframe processes onto distributed systems.
In this role, you will design scalable database solutions, build enterprise ETL batch processes, troubleshoot production issues, and use modern AI-assisted coding tools within an Agile environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Database & ETL Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable T-SQL stored
procedures, database models, and Informatica ETL batch workflows (data ingestion,
validation, reconciliation, and downstream delivery).
• System Modernization: Help migrate legacy mainframe processes to modern
distributed platform architectures while adhering to compliance and governance
standards.
• Production Support & Troubleshooting: Centralize and resolve production issues,
monitor batch processing workflows, perform data-quality assessments, and
manage exception handling.
• AI-Assisted Engineering: Utilize approved AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude) to
accelerate unit testing, write code, optimize queries, and generate documentation.
• Agile & Release Management: Participate in daily Scrum ceremonies, manage tasks
in Jira, and follow enterprise SDLC, change-management, and release standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Experience & Education
• 6–8 years of experience in enterprise T-SQL development, database design, and ETL
tools (Informatica strongly preferred).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a
related field (Master's / MBA is a plus).
Technical Competencies
• Database & SQL: Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Data Modeling, Query Optimization, Performance Tuning.
• ETL & Data Processing: Informatica, Enterprise ETL, Batch Processing, Data Reconciliation, File-based Feeds.
• Process & Delivery: SDLC, Agile/Scrum, Jira, Change & Release Management, Production Support.
• AI Development Tools: Practical experience using AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude.
Soft Skills
• Strong data analysis skills and attention to data integrity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with global cross-
functional teams.
