Senior Software Developer Job

Mosaic Farm is seeking a permanent, full-time Senior Software Developer to design, develop, integrate and maintain the software
infrastructure supporting our agricultural, smart-farming and farm-retail operations in North Saanich, British Columbia. Mosaic Farm is an
agricultural and farm-retail business developing an integrated farm-to-market operating model. Our technology systems support farm
production, crop and product traceability, inventory, packaging, online ordering, wholesale and restaurant supply, direct-to-consumer sales,
fulfilment, logistics and smart-farming equipment. Software development is an operational component of our existing agricultural business.
Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain backend services, APIs, databases and farm-management software. •
Develop systems supporting crop tracking, product traceability, inventory management, packaging, logistics and retail and wholesale order
processing. • Build and improve web applications, mobile applications, internal dashboards, online ordering systems and customer
interfaces. • Develop software integrations for irrigation, environmental monitoring, greenhouse processes, sensors, IoT devices, equipment
workflows and operational alerts. • Integrate cloud-based software, operational databases and smart-farming automation systems. • Perform
troubleshooting, debugging, quality assurance, deployment, performance optimization, security monitoring, technical documentation and
ongoing maintenance. • Collaborate with farm operations, sales, packaging, distribution, management and technical vendors to gather
requirements and implement practical technology solutions. • Provide senior-level guidance regarding software architecture, technical
standards, system scalability and development practices. Employment Details: • Permanent, full-time and indeterminate position • 35 ~ 40
hours per week • Wage: CAD $60.00 per hour • Primary work location: 845 Downey Road, North Saanich, British Columbia • Position
requires on-site system support; occasional remote work may be approved • NOC 21232 – Software developers and programmers Qualified

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering,
computer engineering or a related technical field. An equivalent
combination of relevant post-secondary education, technical
training and substantial professional software-development
