SENIOR QUANTITATIVE RESEARCHER Job

Responsible for producing in-house, proprietary model output and reports on economic trends, individual equities, and other securities of the Asia Pacific region to advise the company and its growing list of clients in making investment decisions. Lead in providing value-added, data centric financial performance analysis and recommendations to clients (e.g. key performance ratios, profitability forecasts, analysis of companies’ operating efficiency, earnings growth, and historical trend analysis.) Engage in the development of quantitative investment strategies, including researching, designing, and implementing investment signals, expected return models for various asset classes, portfolio optimization, and commodity futures trading strategies using machine learning and AI technology. Responsible for assisting capital markets team in trading operations related to implementation of Rayliant’s strategies, including translating quant model output into tradable portfolios (e.g., addressing issues with liquidity, trading restrictions, round lots) and feeding insights from the trading process back into the firm’s research. Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company’s databases and codebase, primarily written in R, Python, SQL, and C++, as well as critical IT infrastructure underlying the firm’s research and strategies.

ALARY Range: $73,798 to $75,000 per year

Masters degree in Data Science or Financial Engineering required. 2 years experience as Quantitative Researcher or Financial Analyst required. Graduate courses taken in Data Mining, Information Extraction, Applied Statistics required.
