Senior Project Manager Job

Senior Project Manager: Manage all aspects of construction project planning including project scoping, analysis of required documents, and establishing specifications and requirements. Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and consult with clients to determine project requirements, objectives, and other project details. Review and analyze engineering drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and design specifications with lead engineers and other construction or engineering personnel for possible site, safety, and development problems prior to initiating construction. Oversee construction project activities to meet project deadlines and account for a wide range of conditions such as load capacity and structural reinforcement in accordance with city ordinances on seismic retrofitting. Delegate project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements and assign personnel to phases and elements in coordination with engineering leadership. Ensure safe and clean working conditions for employees by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Manage project budgets including expenses allocated towards materials, vendors, and workmanship needed for project completion. Authorize project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts. Supervise, document, and assess all project closeout details including scope verification, cost and cost effectiveness, overall quality of work, and any outstanding needs or requirements for future implementation. Stay abreast of the latest technological advances and industry trends in the construction industry. The position supervises 1 Permit Expeditor, 1 Project Coordinator, 2 Architectural Engineers, and 1 Civil Engineer.

Requirements: The position requires a Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or a related position. This may be substituted with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related position. The position requires skills and knowledge of CAD, REVIT, and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) . The position requires some Travel-50%-79% of the time, totaling 26 weeks to 41 weeks per year throughout the U.S to meet clients and visit various unanticipated work sites.
