Position Title: Senior Principal Software Engineer
Location: 3401 Olympus Blvd., Suite 500, Coppell, TX 75019
Position Responsibilities: Leverage extensive experience and expertise in optimization software and the transportation and logistics domain to advance Transportation Management System (TMS) products. Provide mentorship, guidance, feedback, and training to team members. Responsible for design and implementation of product features, actively participates in all stages of software development life cycles from requirements generation to architecture and design to delivery and maintenance. Apply established design patterns and best practices to ensure scalable and maintainable code. Responsible for performance tuning and optimization of relational and non-relational databases, development operations of database back-end systems including monitoring, integrity, stability, and scalability. Participate in all devOps activities. Maintain high quality coding and validation standards throughout development cycle. Code reviews and defining review strategies. Define coding standards and code development tools specification. Handle requests in case of need, highly responsive to critical production issues providing timely and effective solutions. Work closely with architects on release and deployment life cycle practicing Agile methodologies including proficient planning, task estimation and sprints management and execution. Interview and train new associates.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, PLUS seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: Microservices architecture on Java; Spring Boot; C#; .Net; Service Bus; Kafka streaming; relational & non-relational databases; MS SQL; PostgreSQL; MongoDB; Microsoft Azure DevOps; GIT; Agile; JIRA; Confluence, and; Monday. May telecommute from any location within the U.S.
