Position Title: Senior Operations Research Scientist
Location: 3401 Olympus Blvd., Suite 500, Coppell, TX 75019
Position Responsibilities: Responsible for designing and developing algorithms for software products for supply-chain, rail, mining, airline industries and help them optimize their operations thereby reducing costs and carbon footprint. Apply mathematical, statistical modeling and data mining techniques to support the general business functions of the organization, to improve efficiency and apply advanced analytics to key business functions such as operations, marketing, pricing, and product management. Develop the approach and methods to define and solve management problems through quantitative analysis and analytical models, using tools and techniques covered in Operation Research, Statistics, and Econometrics sciences using structured programming languages and Business Intelligence (BI) tools. Use systematic methodology and decision support modeling to dive into huge, noisy, and complex real-world problems to improve productivity of customer cares and daily technician operations. Apply predictive modeling to reduce operational cost and improve customer experience.
Position Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field, PLUS demonstrable knowledge of: Optimization Techniques including LP & MIP; Nonlinear Optimization; Dynamic Programming; Stochastic Optimization; Probability Theory; Statistical Analysis; Predictive Modeling; Game Theory; Python; Pandas; NumPy; SciPy; PuLP; Pyomo; Gurobi/PyGurobi; TensorFlow; R; Julia; Supervised and Unsupervised Machine Learning; Reinforcement Learning; Decision Trees; Neural Networks; NLP; Monte Carlo Simulation; Agent-Based Modeling; Time-Series Forecasting; Gurobi; CPLEX; OR-Tools (Google); AMPL; MATLAB; Tableau; Power BI; Matplotlib; Seaborn (Python); Simio; Arena Simulation Software; SQL; Git/GitHub; JIRA; Confluence; Supply Chain & Logistics, and; Financial Optimization.
