About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design & Validation Engineer with a strong background in FEA analysis, welded structure design, strain gauge testing, and compliance validation. The ideal candidate will support structural design, validation, and risk assessment for heavy equipment and machinery — with a focus on wheel loaders and welded assemblies used in mining and industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze FEA reports and/or perform hand calculations to verify compliance with applicable design standards.
Interpret load cases from strain gauge testing and correlate results with FEA analysis.
Conduct structural design reviews and assist in risk assessments (DFMEA, DFMA).
Review and apply engineering standards and compliance requirements to product design.
Support test track and field validation activities as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement design improvements based on validation results.
Ensure effective documentation and configuration management through PLM and PDM systems.
Provide technical support during audits, prototype builds, and product launches.

✅ 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design, analysis, and validation.
✅ Strong expertise in FEA (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar) and hand calculations for structural verification.
✅ Experience with strain gauge testing, data interpretation, and correlation with simulation results.
✅ Familiarity with wheel loaders, welded structures, or heavy machinery systems.
✅ Working knowledge of DFMEA, standards review, and risk assessment processes.
✅ Hands-on understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes for welded components.
✅ Proficiency in PDM and PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, or Enovia).
✅ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with compliance testing (ISO, SAE, ANSI, or equivalent standards).
Exposure to mining or off-highway equipment applications.
Knowledge of CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA).
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field.
