Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Job

A Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is needed in Phenix City, Alabama.

• Coordinate mechanical design and engineering development of automotive parts and necessary mechanical equipment for the manufacturing process.
• Develop mechanical engineering design specifications for automobile seat frames and related components such as wireless power transmission, frame assy-front back, 2-way power lumbar support, compact 2-way lumbar support system, frame assy-rear cushion, and frame assy-rear back.
• Analyze design requirements of automotive parts based on mechanical engineering principles and provide cost estimates for manufacturing.
• Evaluate engineering design and performance specification to ensure proper mechanical engineering solution.
• Finalize engineering specification of automotive parts product design in accordance with feasibility, function, safety, and budget constraints through engineering evaluation process.
• Confer with engineers from clients to finalize engineering specification during the design development process.
• Coordinate with production department, quality department, and materials department to ensure improvement in sourcing and manufacturing process.

Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field of study.
