Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer Job

A Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer is needed in Duluth, Georgia.

• Investigate manufacturing process inefficiencies, including production bottlenecks, material flow issues, throughput delays, and system integration disruptions, to improve overall manufacturing performance.
• Analyze and improve manufacturing systems by applying established process improvement methodologies to increase efficiency and enhance manufacturability.
• Design, implement, and integrate manufacturing engineering systems, including factory automation systems and manufacturing-related information technology software, to support large-scale industrial production environments.
• Assess and implement new manufacturing methods, automation technologies, production equipment, and system upgrades to improve manufacturing capability, reliability, and operational performance.
• Identify root causes of manufacturing system failures, process deviations, or performance issues using data analysis and statistical techniques, and recommend corrective actions to improve system reliability and consistency.
• Develop, document, and maintain manufacturing process specifications, system configurations, and operational procedures related to manufacturing systems and automation.
• Prepare reports and analyses on manufacturing system performance, production metrics, and process outcomes to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and update training materials and technical documentation for manufacturing systems, processes, and automation tools to support proper system use and knowledge transfer.
• Provide technical support and guidance during implementation, testing, and optimization of manufacturing systems within large industrial facilities.

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field of study and 5 years of experience in factory automation systems development.
