Position Responsibilities: Architect and implement large-scale data models, apply partitioning and clustering strategies for performance and cost optimization. Build and manage scalable ingestion pipelines, ensure governance and structured documentation. Orchestrate modular Cloud Run services with Cloud Tasks for improved ETL workflows and resilience. Design and deliver end-to-end reporting solutions using Looker, transform raw datasets into actionable dashboards. Implement advanced LookML models with row-level security and semantic modeling. Drive automation and templated dashboards, reducing manual reporting time. Act as a bridge between engineering, product, QA, support, and marketing teams. Manage vendor and contractor relationships to ensure quality delivery. Improve query performance and cost efficiency by 35% through execution plan tuning. Reduce large job processing time by 50% via parallelization strategies. Enhance system resilience with retry logic, observability, and structured task queues.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, PLUS five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: BigQuery; Cloud Dataflow & Functions; ETL Orchestration & Resilience; LookML & Semantic Modeling; Dashboard Automation; REST APIs; Python; SQL; CI/CD workflows; shell scripting, and; IAM policies. Travel to unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S., approximately 30%, as required. May telecommute from any location within the U.S.
