Job Description:
• Maintain and improve Programmable Logic Controller (“PLC”)-controlled equipment used in lithium-ion battery manufacturing operations to support organizational key performance indicators (“KPIs”), including safety, operation rate, and yield;
• Manage, develop, and lead PLC programs for production equipment to maintain proper machine operation and control system performance;
• Lead machine and control improvement activities across the overall manufacturing system to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency;
• Support troubleshooting and repair of machines, electrical controls, and automated production equipment to reduce downtime;
• Perform continuous improvement activities for machines and control systems to improve safety, operation rate, and product yield;
• Create and maintain standards and procedures for machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment recovery activities;
• Manage PLC program backups and machine parameters to support system recovery and stable equipment operation;
• Review, maintain, and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system documents for production equipment;
• Monitor control systems and machine operating conditions and identify problems affecting manufacturing performance and KPI results;
• Analyze equipment failures and control issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to prevent repeat problems;
• Coordinate with production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve equipment and process issues efficiently;
• Manage spare parts for machines and control components to support timely repairs and maintenance work; and
• Maintain records of repairs, program changes, machine parameters, and maintenance activities to support equipment history and process control.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field of study; or at least four (4) years of experience in automated equipment maintenance, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) controls support, and machine performance improvement activities in lithium-ion battery manufacturing;
• Experience managing or developing PLC programs, machine parameters, and control documents for automated production equipment; and
• Experience supporting equipment reliability, safety, operation rate, yield, or similar manufacturing KPIs through maintenance and continuous improvement activities.
