Senior Logistics Engineer Job

Senior Logistics Engineer is needed in Jackson, Georgia.

• Develop and implement logistics engineering strategies to optimize supply chain systems for automotive parts manufacturing, including components such as seat cover, sun visor, door accessories, and luggage trim.
• Conduct advanced analysis of logistics functions involving demand planning, procurement, inventory control, transportation, and distribution to improve operational efficiency and reduce delivery lead times.
• Design and evaluate logistical processes and facility layouts to ensure effective coordination of material flow, warehouse utilization, and distribution strategies.
• Lead the assessment and integration of automated logistics information systems, including inventory management technologies and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools, to support real-time tracking and performance analysis.
• Develop technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics systems, supporting continuous process improvement and compliance with engineering and operational standards.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses of supply chain strategies, including transportation modes, warehouse networks, and materials handling systems, to support executive-level decision-making.
• Identify and implement logistics solutions to resolve bottlenecks, reduce costs, enhance customer service levels, and improve overall supply chain performance through engineering-based process reengineering.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
