We’re seeking a dynamic Senior Human Resources Manager (14 month contract) to join our team. Reporting to the President, you’ll be instrumental in leading the HR team as well as optimizing talent management programs for our business unit. Your role will pivot between strategic consultancy and operational support across various HR domains, including performance management, succession planning, employee relations and employee development.

We’re seeking a dynamic Senior Human Resources Manager (14 month contract) to join our team. Reporting to the President, you’ll be instrumental in leading the HR team as well as optimizing talent management programs for our business unit. Your role will pivot between strategic consultancy and operational support across various HR domains, including performance management, succession planning, employee relations and employee development.
- Lead a team of three talented HR professionals (Sr. Recruitment Specialist, HR Generalist, and HR Coordinator)
- Actively partner with the management team, including identification of organizational development needs and overall alignment of HR programs and systems to achieve business results.
- Partner with the Sr. Recruitment Specialist to deliver full recruitment services from sourcing and interviewing to employee offers.
- Provide advice and guidance on attendance and disability management, health and safety, human rights, and performance management, while ensuring compliance with applicable HR related legislation, for both Canada and the US.
- Provide coaching and resources to the HR team, employees, and managers with respect to company policies, career development, training, compensation, recruitment, performance management and employee relations programs.
- Lead and execute key initiatives that support Dealer-FX culture.
- Accurately diagnose organization issues, develop solutions, and recommend solutions for implementation.
- Conduct investigations and assist managers in conflict management and other issues.
- Manage the off-boarding process for both voluntary and involuntary terminations.
- Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage benefits programs for Canadian and US entities including communication, open enrollment, enhancements, and renewals.
- Prepare relative HR metrics, analysis, and reporting.
- Work proactively with management and employees to ensure a productive and respectful workplace environment.
- Manage the annual HR Budget, ensuring optimum allocation of resources.
- Performs other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Human Resources experience with 5+ years in a leadership role; CHRP and/or CHRL designation is preferred.
- Clear history of business partnerships with senior leaders
- Strong organization, interpersonal skills, analytical communication skills and negotiations skills to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Strong ethical fortitude and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and respect.
- Excellent time management. Can handle multiple responsibilities and working in a team environment.
- Excellent customer service skills including a demonstrated ability to be friendly, efficient, polite and patient.
- The ability to prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong understanding of Canadian and US Human Resources Legislation, including payroll and benefit programs such as Group Insurance, RRSP, 401k, Etc.
- Working knowledge of HRIS, and ATS systems
