Senior hairstylist Job

Tokyo Allure Hair Salon Ltd. dba Air Plus Hair Salon (Richmond) is looking for a senior hairstylist to join our team.

Job Duties:
• Advise clients on beauty care treatments,
• Cut and trim hair according to client’s instructions or preferences,
• Shampoo customers’ hair,
• Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting, and also provide scalp conditioning massages,
• Apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to colour, frost, or streak hair,
• Apply hair extensions,
• Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair,
• Suggest hair style compatible with client’s physical features and preferences,
• Provide staff training.

Terms of employment: Permanent position
Salary: $28.85/hour
Work Hours: 30 hours per week
Work Location: 1778 – 6060 Minoru Blvd., Richmond, BC, Canada, V6Y 2V7

Job Requirements:
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 5 years or more
Hair Styling Techniques: Blow drying, hair braiding, iron waving/curling, Permanents, Extensions, Twisting, Locking, Relaxing, Spiking, Pin curls, Roller setting
Hair Colouring Techniques: Bleach, Dyes/tints, Frosting, Streaking/highlights
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail and Hand-eye co-ordination
Personal suitability: Client focus, Dependability, Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Reliability
