Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack .NET Modernization Developer to lead the transformation of the state's mission-critical childcare licensing platform from legacy ASP.NET to modern .NET 8+, Azure cloud services, and a React-based UI — owning solutions end-to-end from design through production support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead modernization of licensing/eligibility applications from legacy ASP.NET to modern .NET/Azure architecture
2. Design and implement scalable, secure, maintainable application solutions
3. Build API-first integrations and cloud-native solutions (Azure App Services, Azure Functions)
4. Own SQL Server platform — data architecture, performance tuning, migrations
5. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps
6. Build and maintain React-based UI components as part of modernization roadmap
7. Integrate third-party services/internal APIs; implement SSRS and Power BI reporting
8. Participate in AI integration initiatives (Azure Agentic AI, Copilot, chatbots)
9. Provide production support, root-cause analysis, and maintain documentation/runbooks
10. Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and sprint ceremonies
Required Skills & Certifications:
• 8+ years: professional .NET development (C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API)
• Hands-on experience migrating real legacy ASP.NET apps to modern .NET (6/7/8/10)
• Production SQL Server experience (stored procedures, T-SQL tuning, schema migrations)
• Hands-on Azure experience (App Services, Function Apps, deployment pipelines)
• 5+ years: delivering software in Agile environments using ADO or GitHub
• React experience building components within existing applications (3 years)
• Power BI or SSRS reporting development (3 years)
• Government/healthcare/public-sector systems experience — compliance, auditability, data sensitivity (3 years)
• Familiarity with ADA/WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards (3 years)
• Exposure to Azure Agentic AI services/AI-driven features in production (3 years)
• Experience with middleware platforms like Boomi or MuleSoft (3 years)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
• Exposure to .NET 10
• Understanding of CSR/SSR rendering patterns and component-based frontend architectures
• Background working with PII data and related security protocols
