Job Title: Senior Field Service Technician

Address of work location: Reporting to Bizerba Canada Inc., 5865 McLaughlin Road, Unit 3, Mississauga, Ontario, L5R 1B8, however, you will be required to travel across Canada with prolonged stays in any province, as per the business need.
Multiple positions based in Alberta and Ontario and on call.
Employment Term: Full-time, Permanent
Duties:
• Inspect, test and perform repairs on various industrial and retail mechanical and electronic weighing devices on the client sites;
• Install and evaluate various weighing and measuring devices and systems;
• Carry out troubleshooting and preventative maintenance for a wide range of Industrial and Retail Scales, Weigh Price Labellers, Print and Apply Labellers, Industrial Terminals and Slicers;
• Create a report of the investigation and propose and execute a corrective or enforcement action;
• Be the subject matter expert for the high-tech equipment used in food processing operations; and
• Providing technical services to our clients; and
• Other duties as assigned.
Education:
• Post Secondary education in an engineering field;
• Valid driver’s license is essential as there is extensive travel to various client sites.
Experience:
• Five years or more of Field Service Technician experience in industrial and retail scales;
• Recognized Technician with experience working for a Accredited Service Provider on behalf of Measurement Canada;
• Significant work experience with assessing and repairing weighing devices;
• Extensive knowledge of scales and the IT software supporting them;
• Solid familiarity of testing, calibration and meter analysis;
• Ability to evaluate and certify weighing platforms ability to find and correct faults in the weighing machines and proven experience with PC Boards, Transformers and Server Motors;
• Three years of Industrial and Retail customers in fast paced environment; and
• Demonstrate weighing systems.
Skills:
• Mechanical aptitude in fixing and repairing industrial and retail machinery;
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities;
• Excellent client service skills;
• Strong communication skills;
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills;
• Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management and clients;
• Ability to concentrate in loud, noisy environments;
• Willingness to work in meat processing environments; and
• Willingness to travel across Canada as required.
Salary: CAD $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per annum.
Hours: 40 hours per week with three weeks paid leave per annum
