Job Description:
• Be responsible for overseeing small projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all goals, deadlines, and resource allocations are clearly defined and adhered to.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and our internal team members to ensure that key project milestones are achieved within the stipulated timelines, budget constraints, and to the clients' satisfaction.
• Design underground excavations, storage facilities, and ancillary structures, incorporating all necessary safety and operational considerations.
• Create comprehensive engineering drawings that comply with both industry standards and specific client requirements is essential.
• Plan and design intricate mine layouts, taking into consideration rock mechanics data to optimize safety and efficiency.
• Collaborate with senior engineering staff to refine mine designs, enhance ventilation systems, and streamline material transport processes is a key responsibility.
• Conduct thorough assessments of underground mining operations to identify areas for improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reductions is expected.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes is essential, leveraging this information to identify new business opportunities and deliver innovative solutions to clients.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Engineering, Mining Engineering, or closely related engineering disciplines.
- Five years of experience in mining industry, working on underground mining operations;
- Knowledge of Engineering Mathematics, Explosive & Fragment in Mining, Thermodynamics, Mineral Processing, and Integrated Mine Waste Engineering.
- Proficiency in using the Deswik suite, MineCAD and Mine2-4D
- Required to travel to worksite.
