Senior East Indian Specialty Cook Job

Avani Asian Indian Bistro located at 801 Matheson Blvd. W, Mississauga, ON L5V 2N6 Requires 5 Senior East Specialty Indian Cooks on a Permanent full-time basis.

Wage: $36.25
Hours per week: 37.50
Experience Required: Over 5 years of experience in East Indian Cuisine
Education: High School

Job Duties
• Prepare and cook authentic East Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori specialties, biryanis, appetizers, and Indian breads.
• Train inexperienced staff in authentic East Indian cuisine, including food preparation, spice identification, spice blending and balancing, cooking techniques, portion control, presentation standards, and safe food handling practices.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces, marinades, and spice blends for authentic taste and flavor.
• Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation standards.
• Assist with menu planning and the development of new East Indian specialty dishes.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas in compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Any other relevant task.
