Senior Cost Analyst Job

A Senior Cost Analyst is needed in Georgetown, Texas.

• Develop, implement, and continuously refine advanced cost estimation models for manufacturing and operational activities by analyzing historical financial data, current expenditures, production metrics, and sales forecasts in support of strategic planning for manufacturing composite materials for automotive parts.
• Conduct in-depth research on automotive industry market trends, raw material pricing, and supply chain conditions to support development of cost-effective pricing strategies and identify opportunities to reduce non-essential expenditures.
• Perform comprehensive variance analyses comparing estimated versus actual costs, identify cost drivers, and prepare detailed analytical reports with recommendations to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
• Analyze workforce planning data and independently model direct and indirect labor cost projections, including scenario analyses assessing the financial impact of staffing levels, productivity assumptions, and operational changes.
• Evaluate production workflows, material utilization, and manufacturing processes to identify cost optimization opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and present detailed cost forecasts, budget projections, and financial impact analyses to senior management to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate development of cost monitoring systems, reporting procedures, and internal controls to improve accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of cost information across manufacturing operations.

Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.
