Title of the position – Senior CADD / BIM Design Technologist
Role Summary: We are seeking a Senior CADD / BIM Design Technologist to join our team. This role involves supporting design development, technical documentation, and digital modelling processes across a range of project types and phases.
The ideal candidate will contribute to both design and technical production workflows, working closely with internal team members and external consultants to deliver coordinated and high-quality project outcomes.
Job duties/responsibilities:
• Prepare technical drawings, plans, and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Develop and maintain Building Information Models (BIM) for project coordination.
• Assist in producing design development, permit, and construction drawing sets.
• Translate sketches and design concepts into detailed digital models and drawings.
• Coordinate with consultants and integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical information.
• Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with project requirements and applicable codes and design standards.
• Produce 3D models, renderings, and visual material for design presentations.
• Support quality control processes and maintain internal BIM standards.
• Assist with project documentation, scheduling support, and workflow organization.
Skills Capabilities/Qualifications:
• Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Building Design, Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preparing architectural drawings and BIM models. 5 years experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit (required) and AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in one of the 3D modelling tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, 3ds Max.
• Proficiency in one of the 3D visualization tools such as Vray, Enscape, or Lumion.
• Proficiency in graphic and presentation tools such as Adobe Photoshop and InDesign is an asset.
• Familiarity with computational design tools such as Grasshopper and Dynamo is an asset.
• Understanding of building systems, construction methods, and drawing standards.
• Ability to coordinate with consultants and function within a collaborative team.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
Terms of employment: Permanent full time, in office work;
Language of work – English
Wages: $38/hourly, full time, permanent position - 40 hours per week
