Senior Architect Job

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Architect to support enterprise initiatives. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader with deep experience in application architecture, system integration, and full lifecycle development across complex, multi-platform environments.

Position Overview
The Senior Architect will lead the design, integration, and modernization of enterprise applications across the health plan ecosystem. This individual will bring strong expertise in service-oriented architecture, multi-system integration, and end-to-end development, while partnering with business and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead architecture design and development of enterprise applications using RESTful/SOA frameworks, JSON, and XML
• Design and support multi-tier (N-tier) application architectures and object-oriented solutions
• Drive integration across heterogeneous platforms, including IBM i, .NET, Oracle, Salesforce, and SAP
• Oversee full application lifecycle, including design, development, testing, QA, and production support
• Architect and optimize database structures, including schemas, views, indexes, and constraints
• Lead modernization and system conversion initiatives, including legacy transformation and application enhancements
• Provide technical leadership for system integration, interoperability, and data exchange (including EDI)
• Support system, OS, and user-level troubleshooting in complex environments
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze workflows and align technical solutions with business needs
• Manage and mentor technical teams, providing guidance on architecture and development best practices
• Support consulting efforts, including user training and documentation

Required Qualifications
• Extensive experience in application architecture and full development lifecycle
• Strong expertise in:
o RESTful services / SOA
o JSON, XML
o Object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) and development (OOP)
• Proven experience integrating across multiple platforms (IBM i, .NET, Oracle, Salesforce, SAP)
• Deep knowledge of database design and optimization
• Experience with application modernization, conversion, and QA (VV&T)
• Background supporting systems in complex, production environments
• Experience managing or leading technical teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience within healthcare or health plan environments
• Familiarity with EDI transactions and data exchange processes
• Agile development experience (Certified Agile Developer preferred)
• Experience supporting intranet/internet-based enterprise applications
• Exposure to pricing, invoicing, contracting, or similar business systems
