Position Title: Senior Analyst
Location: 161 Worcester Road, Suite 503, Framingham, MA 01701
Position Responsibilities: Perform Benefit-Cost Analysis on multiple clean and renewable energy programs in the US. Conduct renewable energy market research and quantitative analysis focusing on Community Choice Aggregation programs, Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) market supply-demand, large-scale renewable supply curve analysis, NY value of distributed energy resources (VDER), and electrification load growth forecast. Develop Excel spreadsheet models to analyze wholesale and Behind the Meter revenues for various solar and storage projects across US. Perform variable revenue analysis and forecast of community solar and net metering projects. Troubleshoot and run optimization codes for battery storage technology using MATLAB and develop Python scripts to automate wholesale revenue price pulls. Research and write weekly articles on technology, legislative and policy changes in the Northeastern renewable energy industry.
Position Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Energy Systems, or a related field, PLUS demonstrable knowledge of: battery cycle degradation; clean energy technology; supply-demand analysis; energy storage revenue analysis; cash flow analysis; benefit-cost analysis; variable DER revenue analysis; data visualization of large datasets; Excel macros (VBA); MATLAB; Python; R, and; PowerBI. Required knowledge may be gained prior to or concurrently with Master’s degree. May telecommute from any location within the U.S.
