Security Analyst - Entry Job

Job Summary
The Security Analyst - Entry supports daily cybersecurity operations by monitoring threats, analyzing logs, assisting with incident response, and helping improve system and network security.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor threat intelligence and investigate suspicious activity
• Review security logs from servers, endpoints, and firewalls
• Assist with incident response, documentation, and remediation
• Support vulnerability management, endpoint security, and automation
• Help maintain security reports, training materials, and process documentation
Required Skills and Certification
• Understanding of security concepts and processes
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and networking
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail
• High School Diploma required
Preferred Skills and Certification
• Experience in server or network administration
• Experience in an IT security-focused role
• Familiarity with SIEM, endpoint security tools, PowerShell, and Group Policy
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and cloud security
• Preferred certifications: Security+, Network+, GSEC, GCIH
Scheduling
• Work Type: Fully onsite
• Hours: 38 hours/week
• Schedule: Includes weekend evening shifts after training
• Duration: 12 months
