Seasonal and Year Round Preschool Assistant Teacher (s) Job

The Community Action, Inc. Head Start/Early Head Start (CAI HS/EHS) program provides comprehensive early education and care services for children ages 0-5 and serves more than 300 infants, toddlers, pregnant mothers, fathers and preschoolers.

CAI Head Start is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

Seasonal and Year Round Preschool Assistant Teacher (s)

Seeking qualified Assistant Teachers to join our team in Haverhill, MA. Minimum requirements include prior experience working with young children and a CDA or willingness to complete the CDA process within two years of hire. Position allows for home visits to foster relationships with children and families.

Candidate must have excellent verbal and written skills, basic computer literacy skills and the ability to work on a team. Seasonal School year positions are 38 weeks per year, 40 hours per week including paid lunch. Year round position is 52 weeks per year, 40 hours per week including paid lunch. Small class sizes of less than 16 children per classroom with a high teacher/child ratio! Salary for Assistant Teacher positions is $19.76(High School Diploma or its equivalency) to $22.52 (Associate’s Degree Early Childhood) per hour. Salary is dependent upon education and experience.
