Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Seamstress to join our team. The successful candidate will construct, alter, repair, and finish garments according to customer specifications and company quality standards.
Major Responsibilities
• Construct made-to-measure garments according to customer and manufacturing specifications
• Fit, alter, and repair garments as required
• Operate sewing machines or sew by hand
• Design patterns or adapt existing patterns for garment construction
• Mark, cut, and assemble fabric pieces
• Apply finishing techniques such as hemming, edging, and pressing
• Replace zippers, buttons, and other garment components
• Perform quality control to ensure all products meet company standards
Qualifications / Skills Required
• Education: Completion of High School; some post-secondary, vocational, or technical training is an asset
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Seamstress
• Languages: Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Strong attention to detail and precision
• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
