Seamstress Job

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for garment and handbag construction and a strong understanding of sewing techniques. As a Seamstress, you will be responsible for creating, leather or canvas handbags or garments to meet customer specifications. This role requires technical sewing skills. Embroidery experience a plus. Experience sewing leather is also a plus. Please be able to provide samples of previous work. You must have your own sewing machine.

Responsibilities

Operate sewing machines and other equipment to construct handbags or garments according to design specifications.
Create design specifications, if needed.
Utilize basic math skills to measure fabric accurately and calculate necessary material requirements.
Ensure all finished products meet quality standards before delivery or pickup.
Experience

Previous experience in handbag or garment construction.
Proficiency in operating sewing machines and understanding various stitching techniques is essential.
Experience working with leather is a plus.
Embroidery experience is also a plus, but not mandatory.
Basic math skills are required for accurate measurements and calculations related to fabric usage.
A keen eye for detail will contribute to success in this role.
