Position Title: Scientific Informatics Consultant
Location: 500 Lake Cook Road, Suite LL7, Deerfield, IL 60015
Position Responsibilities: Provide consultative input to Customers involved in Research and Development, to help develop strategic roadmap to achieve long-term business goals. Meet with Stakeholders to understand Capability needs, Bottlenecks and Business Priorities. Understand emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the scientific space and evaluate key players adopting and developing solutions that could directly benefit Research and Development. Engage with Industry Experts and Leaders to understand Industry Focus and direction for the future. Engage with development team to help design and deploy scientific solutions for Research Scientists and Lab Analysts. Meet with Business Subject Matter Experts and Users to understand their business processes. Engage with Portfolio Management team to govern and manage the execution of R&D Informatics projects. Create Project Charter and define SDLC Methodology.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Life Sciences, Biopharma, Biomedical Engineering, OR a related field PLUS five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience must include at least two (2) years in the following areas: Project management and Solution implementation; Business process and workflows in Lab Operations Management and GMP; Demonstrated domain knowledge; COTS product configuration; implementation and managed services support; Oracle and SQL Server; Windows Operating system; Software Process development in Waterfall and Agile; Office Productivity Tools proficiency including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; LIMS Systems. Alternatively, will accept Master’s degree PLUS two (2) years of described experience. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. May telecommute from any location within the U.S. Travel to unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S. approximately 20%, as required.
