SC Physician Assistant Job

Trained under the Medical model curriculum, the Physician Assistant functions in collaborative independent practice with physician(s) in the private practice or clinic setting. Autonomously performs patient assessment, diagnosis, and intervention according to approved protocols. Develops and maintains own volume of patients. Provides practice/clinic coverage for physician(s) during periods of absence. Prescribes a variety of modalities to meet wellness and illness needs, up to and including hospital admission/discharge, assisting in surgery and prescriptive authority. May supervise private practice/clinic clinical personnel as needed. Graduate of an approved accredited Physician Assistant program; Masters of Science as a Physician Assistant required. (PAs not meeting this educational requirement will be considered based on experience and will be required to attain Masters of Science as a PA within 2 years of date of hire.)Minimum two years pediatric experience in Orthopedic specialty clinic or Orthopedic acute care setting/surgery setting required. American Heart Association BLS and PALS required.
