SC Echocardiographer I (Abilene) Job

Performance of complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Ultrasound procedures include: Transthoracic echocardiography ultrasound on neonatal, pediatric and adult patients; Transesophageal echocardiography ultrasound on neonatal, pediatric and adult patients. These responsibilities will take place in various locations, such as inpatient, outpatient, clinic and outreach settings. On call responsibilities will take place nights, weekends and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School or Equivalent required.
• Physical and mental skills to carry out the required job responsibilities.
• CPR certified.
• 1 year of pediatric experience in a children's hospital, preferred.
• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), registered in Pediatric Echocardiography, preferred.
• Must obtain ARDMS registry within 2 years after hire.
