NOC Code: 95106
Employment Terms: Full Time – Permanent
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Teardown & Setup: Safely disconnect, disassemble, and reassemble complex machinery (such as grinders, saws, and conveyors) to reach hidden food-contact surfaces.
2. Deep Cleaning & Sanitization: Execute pre-rinses, apply foaming detergents, scrub manually, use high-pressure hoses, and apply chemical sanitizers following Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP).
3. Facility Maintenance: Wash floors, walls, ceilings, drains, overhead pipes, and waste disposal areas.
4. Inspection & Compliance: Inspect finished work, conduct swabbing or testing, and complete strict cleaning logs to comply with government and food safety standards (such as HACCP and GMP).
5. Perform other related duties as required.
Employment Requirements:
1. Education: Some secondary school education is required.
2. Work Experience:
• Prior sanitation, custodial, or food manufacturing experience is preferred but not required
• Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided to the successful candidate to ensure they are fully familiar with the company's processes, quality standards, and safe work practices
3. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, crouch, reach overhead, climb ladders, and lift heavy items (often 30 to 60 lbs) for the entire shift.
4. Strict adherence to chemical handling, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) safety protocols, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Working Hours: 8 - 9.5 hours/day, 40 - 47.5 hours/week; standard shifts are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 5 days a week but daily shift end times may vary based on business volume; 2 days off on weekends
Wage/Benefits: $19.64/hour - $26.50/hour based on experience, Overtime available upon approval of the management, 3 days paid sick leave per year, Group Benefits (Dental and Extended Medical Insurance) after 3 months of employment
