is in need of SANDBLASTER

NOC Code: 95101

Employment Terms: Full Time – Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Operate and service all equipment associated with sandblasting
2. Use sandblasting equipment with specified media
3. Prepare components to be protected from abrasives
4. Conform to quality control standards and construction specifications, drawings, sketches, layout boards etc. and/or verbal instructions
5. Read, understand and follow working instructions/directions, policies and procedures
6. Report status of jobs in progress and upcoming production plans
7. Maintain frequent contact with QC and Production to ensure all blasting requirements are met
8. Follow the company safe work procedures and legislated safety requirements
9. Keep a clean work environment
10. Comply with all WHMIS and environmental regulations regarding the storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials
11. Assist painters and insulators when needed and any other job-related tasks
12. Perform other related duties as required

Working Hours: 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week; shift will vary between days and nights from Monday to Friday; 2 days off on Saturday and Sunday

Wage/Benefits: $32.85/hour; Extended Medical, Dental and Disability Insurance

Work Locations: 6614 50 Avenue, Lloydminster, AB, Canada T9V 2W8

Employment Requirements:
• Education: Some secondary school is required
• Work Experience: At least 6 months previous experience is required. Sandblasting experience and familiarity with tank, vessel and pipe coating an asset.
• Ability to calculate values in Metric and Imperial
• Ability to give and take clear direction; verbal and written
• Hand tools required
• Must pass pre-employment physical demands and abilities assessment
