Safe and Secure Hallways FLOATER Job

Safe Passage in support of creating a safe and secure passage for students going to and from school will create a safe passage around the perimeter and in the school halls to ensure students are safe and on time to school and classes.

MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL ACROSS BOROUGHS FOR WORK! WE CURRENTLY HAVE CONTRACTS WITH SCHOOLS IN THE BRONX AND BROOKLYN, BUT AS WE EXPAND, YOU MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO TRAVEL BASED ON YOUR SCHOOL ASSIGNMENT.

Work Hours: 9am to 3pm MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

Qualifications

Must have security experience

Strong verbal communication skills

Must have good time management

Mentoring Skills a plus

Problem-solving a plus

Relationship-building skills a plus

Must work well with students from diverse backgrounds

Duties-

Mentoring (Act as big brothers/sisters)

Transitioning students smoothly throughout the hallways.

Develop relationships with students.

Serve as a liaison between students teachers and administrators.

Prevent violence throughout the school.

Advocate for students

Ensure students are in class on time

Create a positive school culture

Education / Misc

High School Diploma or Equivalent / Some College

Must clear DOE - Fingerprinting and Background Check.
