Job Description:
• Position: Roofer (NOC 73110)
• Employer: Axe and Oak Roofing Ltd.
• Business Address: 592 Baker St, Victoria, BC, V8Z 2H5
• Work Location: Various Locations within Victoria, BC
• Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time
• Wage: $37.00 per hour
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours per week
• Benefit: 4% of salary for vacation remuneration, medical and dental benefits and 5 paid sick days per year.

Job Duties:
• Install, repair, and replace roofing on residential and commercial buildings.
• Work on sloped and low-slope roofs, including removal of existing coverings.
• Install roofing coverings and related components to ensure weather protection.
• Install flashings and other roof interfaces to maintain water tightness.
• Prepare roof surfaces and substrates prior to installation.
• Inspect roofs to identify defects and determine required work.
• Estimate basic labour and materials for assigned jobs.
Follow safe work practices when working at heights and with access equipment.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Completion of secondary school.
- Experience: 2–3 year apprenticeship or over 3 years of work experience in roofing is considered an asset but not required. Red Seal endorsement is preferred but not required. Driver’s license is required.
