Roofer
Teckniks Metals Ltd. is currently seeking experienced Roofers to join our growing team. If you have experience installing and repairing roofing systems and are looking for a stable, full-time opportunity, we encourage you to apply.
Location: Etobicoke, Ontario (Various job sites)
Employment Type: Permanent
Full-time: 30–40 hours per week
Wage: $36.00–$40.00 per hour (based on experience)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Vacancies: 2
Work Schedule: Morning, day, evening, early morning and weekend shifts may be required depending on project needs.
Job Responsibilities
Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine project requirements.
Install and repair metal roofing systems using hand and power tools.
Install sheet metal flashings.
Apply waterproof coatings to concrete and masonry surfaces below and above ground level.
Estimate materials and project costs.
Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms.
Supervise and mentor apprentices or junior workers when required.
Ensure work is completed safely and according to company and industry standards.
Qualifications
Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
3 to less than 5 years of roofing experience.
Experience with:
Sheets metal work and fabrication.
Conventional and inverted built-up roofing systems
Modified roofing systems
Single-ply sheet membrane roofing systems
Tiled roofs
