Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Robotics Technologist to join our multidisciplinary team. This individual will work on integrating, programming, and supporting robotic systems used in manufacturing and automation environments.
This is a full-time, permanent position, 40 hours per week, based in Canada. Qualified international candidates are welcome to apply. Job Requirements:
Main Duties:
-Ability to prepare and interpret mechanical drawings, CAD designs, and engineering specifications.
-Knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes.
-Experience performing mechanical tests, inspections, and analyses to assess performance, strength, and compliance with specifications.
-Ability to assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment.
-Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers and project teams.
-Attention to detail and ability to follow safety standards and technical procedures.
-Completion of relevant safety training or mechanical maintenance certifications may be required.
Requirements:
-Diploma or degree in robotics, mechatronics, electrical engineering technology, or related field
-1 year to less than 2 years experience
-Strong problem-solving skills and technical documentation ability
-Able to communicate effectively in English
-Open to relocation and working full-time in Burnaby, BC
Assets:
-Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN
-Familiarity with CSA/UL electrical standards
-Proficiency in Python, C , and ROS
-Experience with Git, Docker, and Agile development workflows
-Understanding of machine learning tools such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
-Hands-on work with ROS packages like MoveIt
-Familiarity with CAD tools, mechanical design, and robotic hardware integration
-Able to assist in robot installation, mechanical testing, and on-site setup
-Experience developing or maintaining navigation, control, or AI actuation software
