RN Unit Manager – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Job

The NICU Unit Manager (RN) provides leadership, direction, and clinical oversight to ensure safe, high-quality care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This role is responsible for daily operations, staff management, quality improvement, and maintaining compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is a compassionate leader with proven NICU experience and a passion for neonatal care excellence.

Required Qualifications
Education:

BSN required (Master’s preferred)

Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years of healthcare experience
At least 2 years in a supervisory or charge role in an acute care setting
Strong NICU or Women’s Services background

Licensure & Certifications:
Current RN License (Texas or Compact State)
If Compact License, must apply for TX RN within 60 days and obtain within 6 months
BLS required (AHA)
ACLS preferred
NRP preferred
Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) preferred
Specialty Certification (RNC-NIC or equivalent) required within 6 months of hire
