Retail Store Supervisor Job

“Connexions Ltd. O/A Freedom Mobile” is currently looking for a passionate, self driven “Retail Store Supervisor” to join their team. This position is responsible for overseeing the store operations and coordinate the activities of the staff.

Location: 1300 King Street East #28 Kingsway Village Shopping Centre, Oshawa, ON L1H 8J4.
Status: Regular; Permanent; Full-time (1 Vacancy)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: $22.00 per hour
Hours: 30 to 35 hours/Week
Work Setting: Retail Store

Job Duties
• Planning and implementing strategies to attract customers,
• Facilitating the development and training of a newly hired sales staff and retention of high-performing sales and service team,
• Planning and developing strategic shift scheduling and delegating responsibilities,
• Supervising and motivating staff to perform their best,
• Ensuring compliance of staff with established security, sales, merchandising, and record keeping procedures and practices,
• Maximizing store profitability through efficient management of inventory, cash flow and reporting,
• Maintaining customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns or complaints.

Experience

• Minimum 7 months to 1 year of previous experience in similar position

Education:

• Secondary School completion is required

Special Skills and Attributes:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to supervise 3 to 4 people
• Physically demanding, requires a combination of walking, bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods of time
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Flexible, punctual, time management skills and team member and fluent in English
