CANAAN Meats CO. LTD. dba Canaan Meat Shop in Burnaby, BC, is looking for an experienced Full-time, Permanent Retail Store Manager.

Conditions:
 Position: Retail Store Manager (NOC 60020)
 Wage: $44.72/ hour
 Working hours: 30 hours per week, 5 days per week
 Vacation: 10 days paid vacation per year or 4% gross salary
 Number of Positions: 1

Requirements:
 Education: Completion of high school
 Experience: Minimum three years of experience in the retail industry, including a managerial role
 Language: English

Job Duties:
• Staff Management and Task Assignment: Assign and supervise daily duties of butchers, cashiers, and cleaning staff based on store operations. Ensure all employees comply with CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) standards and WorkSafeBC safety regulations.
• Budget Planning and Revenue Management: Manage and record daily sales, meat supply purchases, and utility expenses. Estimate monthly revenue and plan inventory purchases accordingly. Take measures to minimize losses and reduce waste.
• Product/Service Selection and Pricing Policy: Determine the types and cuts of meat to be sold based on customer demand. Adjust prices according to wholesale market trends and seasonal promotions. Provide bulk discounts or customized services for loyal customers or restaurant clients.
• Customer Service and Issue Resolution: Promptly and professionally handle customer complaints (e.g., incorrect orders, product dissatisfaction). Plan weekend promotions or loyalty benefits based on customer feedback. Maintain product freshness and store cleanliness to encourage repeat business.
• Inventory and Sanitation Management: Regularly monitor stock levels in refrigerators and freezers, and order supplies from vendors as needed. Ensure overall cleanliness and safety of the store according to Fraser Health’s hygiene standards.
